We recognize important milestones for individuals and organizations.

Birthdays

  • Any age – Member of Parliament
  • 65+ (every 5 years) – Prime Minister
  • 90+ – Governor General
  • 100+ – His Majesty The King

Wedding Anniversaries

  • Any anniversary – Member of Parliament
  • 25+ (every 5 years) – Prime Minister
  • 50+ – Governor General
  • 60+ – His Majesty The King

Other Recognition

  • Business openings
  • Community milestones
  • Volunteer recognition
  • Cultural events

Please submit requests by contacting our office at least 4 weeks in advance.

Canadian Flags & Pins

Residents may request:

  • Canadian flags
  • Canadian lapel pins
  • Provincial/territorial flags (limited availability)

Requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Petitions to Parliament

Canadians can raise issues of public interest through petitions.

Key Requirements

  • Must relate to federal jurisdiction
  • Minimum 25 signatures
  • Can be paper or e-petitions

Process

  • Submitted through the House of Commons
  • Presented by an MP
  • Government responds within 45 days
